The sea is the beating heart of ASD Sport Compass and the sport field that most deeply reflects our identity, mission, and educational vision.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

For us, the sea is much more than a natural setting for activities: it is a living environment where sport, sustainability, well-being, and community come together. Through sea-based experiences, participants learn teamwork, adaptability, responsibility, and trust, while developing\u00a0a strong sense\u00a0of belonging and connection with the marine world.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Marine ecosystems become real classrooms for non-formal education. Through direct contact with coastal environments, sailing experiences, and blue outdoor activities, participants strengthen their awareness of biodiversity, climate responsibility, and the importance of protecting marine and coastal spaces.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

A central element of this field is\u00a0<\/span><\/span>MINA, our 39-foot sailing yacht moored in the port of Alghero<\/span><\/span>, which\u00a0<\/span>represents<\/span>\u00a0one of the most meaningful educational tools of ASD Sport Compass. Aboard MINA, we\u00a0<\/span>organise<\/span>\u00a0learning journeys, educational sailing experiences, youth activities, sustainability workshops, and community-based initiatives that transform navigation into a pathway for personal and collective growth.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Sailing with MINA means learning by\u00a0<\/span>doing:<\/span>\u00a0understanding the importance of cooperation, experiencing good seamanship,\u00a0<\/span>observing<\/span>\u00a0marine flora and fauna, and embracing the values of eco-friendly mobility through wind-powered navigation. This field is also strongly connected to our international project work and local sustainability actions. From educational cruises to coastal clean-ups and hybrid workshops, MINA often becomes the bridge between sport, European cooperation, and environmental action.
