Overview

ASD Sport Compass  is pleased to invite educators, teachers, trainers, and sport-based learning professionals to take part in a Local Training Event organised within the framework of the STEM Sports Education project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.

The event will offer participants the opportunity to explore and test the educational contents developed during the project’s recent international Train-the-Trainer programme. This two-day training programme focused on the use of sport as an engaging and practical context for teaching STEM subjects, while also promoting inclusion, accessibility, and gender equality in learning environments.

About the Training

The STEM Sports Education project aims to strengthen STEM competences among secondary school students, with a particular focus on increasing girls’ participation and interest in STEM-related fields. The project introduces an innovative educational approach that connects STEM learning with sport-based, hands-on, and real-life activities.

During this Local Training Event, participants will have the chance to discover the STEM Sports Modular Training Programme and test selected activities, tools, and methodologies developed by the project partnership. The training will combine theoretical inputs with practical workshops, collaborative learning, and reflection moments.

Why Take Part

By joining the Local Training Event, participants will gain practical knowledge and tools to make STEM education more engaging, inclusive, and connected to real-life experiences. The methodology has already been positively evaluated by educators and trainers, who highlighted its practical orientation, collaborative learning environment, and strong potential for transfer into classrooms and local educational settings.

The training is also an opportunity to contribute directly to the testing and improvement of project contents before their wider use across partner countries.
